Third party litigation funding in Canada - validity, regulatory challenges and navigating through champerty and maintenance

The purpose of this thesis titled 'Third Party Litigation Funding in Canada - Validity, Regulatory Challenges and Navigating Through Champerty and Maintenance' is to correct the commonly held perception that third party litigation funding means champerty and maintenance and therefore, end of the road. This thesis investigates whether third party litigation funding can contribute towards alleviating Canada's access to justice problem. <br/><br/>The thesis finds that the doctrines of champerty and maintenance can be navigated through, and third party funding can be used more than it is currently being used in Canada. This thesis shows the reader how to do that.
