Spatially resolved investigations and modelling of SCR/DPF
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe objective of this research project is to use combined spatially resolved experimental and numerical techniques to investigate the behavior of SCR/DPFs. The initial stages of the experimental aspect of the project will make use of the SpaciMS mass spectrometer available in the Chemical Engineering department at QUB. One of the aims of the project is to acquire spatially resolved data within the DPF to clarify the nature and location of the processes taking place within SCR/DPFs under various conditions. A second aim of the project is to utilize the understanding of the process mechanisms, determine the kinetic data from experimental measurements and supply this information via a commercial catalyst simulation package (Axisuite) to simulate the overall SCR/DPF's behavior.
