Un modo della visione tra passato e futuro: Rilievo, conoscenza e rappresentazione dell’ornatus in architettura

Considering the decoration as "complex system", the thesis, through different methodological approaches, has the intent to conduct a complete analysis, starting from the roots with the reference matrices study until and archetypes, to the innovative drawing tools and 3d visualization. Through the analysis of shape with different disciplinary approaches, suggests a rhetoric reading of architecture by analyzing each relation between something materials, decoration, to a metaphorical meaning. The Eclecticism may be considered an application of decoration semiotics, in fact, through the use of earlier decorative stylistic forms, what is represented has no meaning the individual signifiers allude, taken in their context of the time, but rapresent a new signifier that varies from the context.
