By developing evidence-based guidelines for surgical documentation in pediatric oncology, this work aims to identify universal critical intraoperative findings that should be documented, provide practical recommendations for improving documentation quality, identify the gaps in traditional narrative reporting, and compare synoptic operative reporting to traditional narrative reports.
