A study employed Qualitative and Quantitative Approaches. A total of (54), respondents from school head teachers, heads of schools and ward education officers were purposively selected as a sample. The study included (42) teachers and 12 ward education officers. The data were collected through intervieww, questionnaires and Focus Group Discussion and analyzed through descriptive content analysis, and calculated in form of percentages. The major finding of the study revealed that, most of the people do not understand well Adult education and its importance in their life and were not enrolled in adult education classes. Challenges were also identified include overloaded of the activities from central government, neglect of the government, inadequate budget of the local government, scarce resources including revenues collected by some of the District, lack of experienced people at local government which lead to substandard of many programs like that of adult education. It is recommended in the study that more training are needed to facilitators.
