Intranetbasierte Gruppendiskussionen. Entwicklung eines theoretisch-methodologisch fundierten Konzepts einer Methode zur prozessorientierten Evaluation von Studium und Lehre an deutschen Hochschulen

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

The present thesis pursues the aim of analysing the possibilities of asynchronous internetbased discussion groups for the purpose of evaluation research in the university sector. Concerning this, the author exposes a critical reflection of evaluation research in general and university evaluation in particular. This shows the necessity of alternative meta-theoretical approaches. Subsequent to this, the author proposes an approach based on structuration and discourse theory and the interpretive paradigm to derive principles for designing and evaluating a research method for processoriented university evaluation. An evaluation of the introduced method of intranetbased group discussions indicates a number of positive characteristics for a discourse oriented evaluation practise. The author concludes with three examples of use of intranetbased group discussions.
