At this <em>W</em> and <em>Q</em><sup>2</sup>, the longitudinal cross section is dominated by t-channel production, giving a unique opportunity to examine the strong coupling form factor <em>g</em>π<em>NN</em>(<em>t</em>). The measured cross sections were separated using a method similar to a Rosenbluth separation. For the extraction of <em>g</em>π<em>NN</em>(<em>t</em>), the Actor and Körner model [42] and a parameterization of the MAID2000 model [3] were employed to fit the longitudinal cross section. Three parameterizations <em>g</em>π<em>NN</em>(<em>t</em>) were used in both models. These fits resulted in a strong coupling constant <em>g</em>π<em>NN</em>[m<sup>2</sup>π] that is consistent with theoretical predictions.
