TOWARDS ULTRACOLD FERMIONS IN 2D DISORDERED OPTICAL LATTICES

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

Quantum simulation with ultracold atoms offers unparalleled control for studying complex many body phenomena, yet scalable platforms for disordered systems remain challenging. This work presents the development of an experimental platform to investigate quantum many-body physics with ultracold lithium-6 fermions in a two dimensional disordered optical lattice governed by the Fermi-Hubbard model.
