The extension of the topological insulators to the nonequilibrium systems opens a new playground for physicists. Rich topological phases which have no static counterparts have emerged in the time periodic(Floquet) quantum system. It is natural to ask: Can we use the Floquet topological systems to perform quantum information tasks which can benefit from the topological robustness? Can we use the Floquet formalism to engineer the band topology of the system? This thesis gives an attempt to answer these questions.","abstract_html":"Topological insulators have attracted both great theoretical and experimental attentions in recent two decades, as some observables in such systems are robust against local disorders due to the topological protection.
