LIVING AND SOCIALISING IN A (POST-)DIGITAL ERA.","abstract":"With the rise of technological advancements and the internet over the past few decades, having a constant virtual connection has become a norm for society. As we progress towards utilising digital platforms such as social media as our primary mode of social interactions, it is necessary not to forgo Face-to-Face and in real-life interactions, which may otherwise have detrimental effects. This thesis looks into rediscovering the new ways of connecting in the (post-)digital age while maintaining In-Real-Life social interactions and connections. With Singapore undergoing digitisation through the Smart Nation Movement, new novel technologies can be a catalyst towards face-to-face social interactions or provide an entirely new experience for social connections that maintains our real-life social skill abilities and empathy. These technologies can provide a balance between physical and digital social interactions, and allow individuals to retreat to their personal space observing the rising trend for individualistic living lifestyles.","abstract_html":"With the rise of technological advancements and the internet over the past few decades, having a constant virtual connection has become a norm for society.
