This thesis revolves around housing market and the energy consumption of housing sector. First essay examines how the mortgage payment obligations, determined by the housing market dynamics, affect the pricing kernel and influence the equity premium. Second essay examines how the online listing portals affect the behaviour of agents who serve as the middleman in property transactions that realize the housing market dynamics from the bottom up. Third essay focuses on energy consumption and the behaviour of air-conditioner users.
