Loop Quantum Gravity is known to have the property of background independence in contrary to other contemporary approaches to quantum gravity. This work mainly consists of a literature review of Dirac constraint analysis, Dirac canonical quantization and improvements to it made by Loop Quantum Gravity researchers.
