Five gauging stations were deployed within the Marina Barrage Catchment, Singapore. Different spatial and temporal scales of comparisons of various hydrological parameters were made. An interesting finding was made on the adverse impacts of construction activities. Diurnal variations were noted in some physical water parameters. Human interference was established to have led to variations in SEC and turbidity levels. A detailed study of SS in the catchment revealed a strong relationship with turbidity. Rating relationships between SS and Q showed a good correlation through data sets segregation. Hydrological characteristics that determine SS loads were derived. Both DOC and POC concentrations were higher under stormflow conditions. Spatial analysis found the ratio of DOC/POC decreasing downstream, while a positive correlation was noted between POC and SS.
