革命、生活、女戰士—— 從性別角度看馬來亞共產黨史 = REVOLUTION, LIVES AND WOMEN WARRIORS: MALAYAN COMMUNIST HISTORY FROM GENDER PERSPECTIVE.

There is an absence of a gender history perspective about Malayan Communist Party (MCP) study. Many authors have ignored women warriors’ voices and their characters in the long-lasting guerrilla warfare. Women have simply remained nameless and faceless. We know very little from the standpoints of those hundreds of thousands of female comrades who participated in the MCP guerrilla. This research explores a very difference picture of the history of MCP by highlighting women as the main subjects of the study. This thesis also attempts to reconstruct the revolutionary journey and the everyday lives practicing of these female guerrilla fighters, analyses their background and conditions, their social structure and agency, motivation of participation and strategies to fight, as well as their daily activities in the jungle.
