ARSENIC IS WIDELY DISPERSED IN THE EARTH?S CRUST. HIGH CONCENTRATION OF ARSENIC IN DEEPER LEVELS OF GROUNDWATER HAS BECOME A HIGH-PROFILE PROBLEM IN RECENT DECADES, CAUSING SERIOUS ARSENIC POISONING TO LARGE NUMBERS OF PEOPLE. THERE IS NO MEDICAL CURE FOR ARSENIC POISONING; THUS, THE SOLUTION TO THE THREAT OF ARSENICOSIS IS PREVENTING ARSENIC EXPOSURE. WITH THE ACUTE SHORTAGE OF DRINKING WATER, THERE IS A GROWING CONCERN FOR POTABLE WATER QUALITY DUE TO NATURAL AND ANTHROPOGENIC POLLUTION. IN THIS STUDY, TWO TYPES OF NANO-SIZED ADSORBENTS, Y-FE BINARY NANOPARTICLES AND ZR BASED NANOPARTICLES, WITH HIGH ADSORPTION CAPACITY OF ARSENIC WERE DEVELOPED AND TWO SERIES OF THE RELATED NANOPARTICLES EMBEDDED FLAT SHEET MEMBRANES WERE SYNTHESIZED BY PHASE INVERSION METHOD. BOTH THE BATCH AND FILTRATION EXPERIMENT WERE CONDUCTED TO INVESTIGATE THE ARSENIC ADSORPTION BEHAVIOR OF THE MATERIALS.
