This thesis classifies changes most likely to have an impact on naval aviation maintenance through the year 2000, and describe planning mechanisms currently in place to deal with these changes through a compilation of views of senior level aviation maintenance managers concerning the planning and change process, variety of comments and problem areas are listed. indicate a need to place greater emphasis on long-range a Conclusions indicate a need to place greater emphasis on long-range (strategic) planning, while ensuring clarity-of-purpose both within the naval aviation maintenance organizational structure and the Aeronautical Maintenance Duty Officer community.
