Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe purpose of this MBA Project was to investigate and provide a comprehensive overview of the historical and current efforts directed at valuing intellectual capital (IC). This project was conducted with the sponsorship and assistance of the Office of Military Base Retention and Reuse (OMBRR), of the California Business, Transportation and Housing Agency. The goal of this project was to identify and document both the history of valuing IC, and the models currently in use throughout the private sector. Additionally, an effort was made to develop a definition that would be appropriate for use in a governmental setting and to develop a working model that can be used to manage IC within the Department of Defense (DoD).
