United States interests in China: a post-normalization analysis.
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis analyzes the origin and evolution of United States economic and strategic interests in China, showing how they have been affected by the progressive political and economic developments within China. Special attention is paid to the problems of arms transfers from the U.S. in the light of their probable effects on China's future and on U.S. diplomatic relations in other parts of the Asian region.
