A repairable item inventory system using dynamic programming and Markov processes
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis developed an analytical model of a repairable item inventory system. The system consisted of a depot that repaired failed units according to some repair policy and stocked ready-for-issue units in support of a finite number of customers. A least-cost repair policy and stock level was determined by use of a computer program which is included as an appendix.
