Within the park, there are several riverbanks that are experiencing erosion. The Red River Basin Riparian Project was contacted by the park in hopes of finding a solution. The project focuses on combining traditional engineering and soil bioengineering techniques to protect and stabilize riverbanks while enhancing in-stream and riparian habitats.</p> <p>The focus of the design revolved around one streambank within the park.
