Abstract
dc:description.abstract<p>The physiographic features of Canada have a complex history which involve a Precambrian peneplain, followed by a long period of sedimentation interrupted in places by diastrophic events, and finally extensive glaciation. Since the turn of the nineteenth century several men have proposed classifications of these features, and have divided Canada into a number of physiographic provinces. A review of these classifications shows that Canada may be divided into six major divisions, each characterized by a continuity of physical aspects.</p>
