Electronic Notification For Administration: Prior To Ten Days Of Suspensions
Abstract
dc:description.abstract
The purpose of this advocacy document is to demonstrate the need for a change in the current manual policy by developing an electronic notification system within Infinite Campus, student information system, before the 11th day of suspension for Milwaukee Public Schools District. The Milwaukee Public Schools District standard policy requires the district to assign a designee that will monitor suspensions, mark them on a calendar, compare the information in Infinite Campus, Data Warehouse, and notify staff when the student with disabilities is approaching the 10th day of suspensions. Whereas, the electronic notifications will provide a red alert to an administrator as well as the IEP provider when suspensions are issued, the number of days and which day of suspension assigned will also be provided.
