To investigate various system representations, a computer solution of the transient response of an arbitrary network and the computer solution of the generalized Thevenin impedance of a complex network are presented. A simple power system is defined and used to investigate the modeling of various system components, using the computer solution methods. Simplification of the model due to the interconnection of the components is discussed. An extension of the model to a complex general system is made and the method of determining the parameters of the model is presented. A computer solution of the final model is discussed.
