Reactions of centralite in aged propellants

"One of the aims of the present work was to analyse the methylene chloride extracts from thermally aged double- and triple-base propellants containing centralite, as well as the nitrocellulose and pierite residues from the latter, by means of two-dimensional thin-layer chromatography and electronic absorption spectroscopy. A second purpose was to obtain material balances for the stabilizer in these propellants • A third objective was to devise a rapid, accurate and convenient method for determining the age of triple-base propellants."
