Abstract
dc:description.abstract"A study in favour of enlarging the usefulness of life insurance through terms should be worthwhile. No doubt life insurance would become more effective and have a greater opportunity for achieving it’s most important function. ln fact many people believe the savings element of any plan could even be deferred in order that the dependents can be adequately protected against the pre-mature death of the bread-wlnner. In any event this study will endeavour to throw some light on the advantages of having separate contracts for protection and savings. We believe the need for protection against premature death is a temporary phase in the life of an induvial. Lord Keyes once observed, "in the long run, we are all dead”. Under these conditions, in most cases, term when properly taken with a separate investment can serve the family man better than combination savings-protection policies."
