The project is implemented and administrated by Irving Personal Care (IPC). The results obtained allowed IPC to grow, compete in the diaper market and produce a new supreme diaper with fully registered poly material. The trial and error method used to resolve the pitch variation issue did not take into account the rapid rate of change of the pre-printed poly pitch. To solve the problem, a comparison between a conventional Proportional-Integral (PI) controller and a Fuzzy-logic (FL) approach are considered.
