Current Use and Perception of Handheld Technologies in Radiation Therapy Education

This study is an examination of the attitudes toward and current use of handheld devices among students and faculty of radiation therapy education programs. Research is presented that discusses handheld computer users, clinical and educational applications of handheld computers, obstacles and benefits to the implementation of handheld computers in education, and the use of handheld computers as clinical assessment tool. Data collected through a researcher-constructed survey are presented and analyzed. Finally, conclusions about the attitudes toward and current use of handheld devices among students and faculty of radiation therapy education programs are drawn.
