The potential terrorist use of weapons of mass destruction has become a reality. The danger posed by biological weapons is real and the consequences of such an attack against America would be severe. This project is intended to provide valuable insight into biological weapons and their effects. This thesis will also examine America’s current biodefense strategy and preparedness and uncover vulnerabilities that might exist, making recommendations to what needs to be done to insure that America is prepared to deal with and defend against any possible biological attack scenario. Lastly, this thesis will explore the biotech revolution and discuss its implications on the future of biological weapons.","abstract_html":"In today’s security environment, the threat of terrorism is at an all-time high.
