Fish and benthic macroinvertabrate samples were collected from each stream using the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Rapid Bioassesment Protocols for Use in Wadeable Streams and Rivers. Samples were collected in September 2004 and February 2005, and organisms were identified and counted. The number of organisms and taxa present were evaluated with regionally modified metrics to extrapolate an Index of Biotic Integrity (IBI).
