Small Time People

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

SMALL TIME PEOPLE is a collection of poems written during my course of studies at Missouri State University. My purpose in coming to this graduate program was to become a better writer, a better poet as well as to develop my understanding of the craft of poetry and theories pertaining to its evolution. The poems collected here are representative of my progress as a poet and touch upon different aspects of human joy and grief. The speaker mostly takes on the role of observer, rather than participant, paying attention to the people and the world around him.
