Mary, Don't You Weep Martha, Don't You Moan: A Collection Of Three Short Stories

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

This is a body of creative work compiled to present the observations, in an imaginative way, of a woman growing up in the middle of America. "Enola Gay" is a story of a youthful, as well as a national, loss of innocence. "Mrs. Blake's Last Lover" examines the issue of the loneliness of older women. "Friends" is an ironic attempt to examine one woman's "family values."
