Abstract
dc:description.abstractFiction Free Form includes a short story, free verse poetry and formal poetry. Arrangement of the collection follows the title of the thesis: the short story is first, free verse is next, and formal verse is last. Themes throughout the collection vary and explore diverse topics such as commercialism, relationships, family, animals, plants, people, fashion, technology, spirituality, dogma, and balloons. Experiences that are commonplace and ordinary things are used to create meaning; appropriate topics for poetry can and should include everything under the sun and above it. The introduction discusses formal elements of the fiction and poetry included in the collection.
