A Comparative Study of the Frequency of Nonclinical Panic Attacks as Experienced By Students in the United States and Their English Counterparts

This study examines the differences in the frequency of nonclinical panic attacks experienced by students in Southwest Missouri State University, United States of America, and Manchester Metropolitan University, England. It was designed to take into account the impact of significant loss and the living situation of the students relating to frequency of panic attacks. A total sample of 202 subjects completed Modified Panic Attack Questionnaires. Chi-square analysis was used, and there was found to be no significant differences in the frequency of nonclinical panic attacks experienced by the American and English students.
