Abstract

Descriptions of the pteridophytes occurring in the Interior Highlands of North America and keys to their identification are presented. All pteridophytes known to occur in the state of Missouri are included. The area under consideration is described, range and habitats within the Interior Highlands are noted, phytogeographic affinities are discussed, and a glossary of botanical terms used in the keys and descriptions is appended.
