Specimens in the Southwest Missouri State University collection from Pearson Creek were also included in the study. Thirty-two species of sixteen genera were collected: Baetis flavistriga, B. hageni, B. intercalaris, B. pygmaeus, Pseudocloeon punctiventris, Isonychia bicolor, Heptagenia aphrodite, Stenacron minnetonka, S. interpunctatum interpunctatum, S. i. frontale, S. i. canadense, Stenonema femoratum, S. luteum, S. rubromaculatum, S. tripunctatum, Leptophlebia cupida, Choroterpes oklahoma, Habrophleboides annulata, Paraleptophebia guttata, Ephemerella argo, E. verisimilis, E. temporalis, E. lutulenta, Caenis simulans, Caenis jocosa, Potamanthus myops, Ephemera simulans, E. traverae, Haxagenia atrocaudata, H. bilineata, H. limbata, Ephoron album. The most common mayflies collected from Pearson Creek were species of Baetis, Stenacron, Stenonema, and Caenis.
