Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe primary purpose of this thesis is to create a skillfully written biography of the life of Dr. Terry Winkler. I obtained information on Dr. Winkler's life by working in conjunction with Dr. Winkler, his friends, and family members. In preparing for this thesis, I researched the multiple considerations of biographical writing in texts such as William Siebenschuh's Fictional Techniques and Factual Works and other scholarship related to the writing of biography. Discussion of the multiple considerations involved in biographical writing and an explanation of the rationale for some of the decisions made in creating this work are discussed in the critical introduction to this thesis.
