Analysis of a Project Designed to Modernize the Communications Efficiency of the United Methodist Church

The thesis project was designed to modernize the internal and external communications system of the United Methodist Church (Springfield District) and to institute a public relations program. The key elements of the project involved creating a computerized communications database, establishment of the Ozarks United Methodist Reporter as a communications channel, production of Methodist Bicentennial promotional radio tapes, and creation of systematic public relations information channels. The goals of the project have been met with each area, with exception of special Bicentennial promotions, a functional ongoing element of the Springfield District.
