Further, the perceived importance and user satisfaction with individual DIS functions was examined. The influence of sources of information on the selection of a DIS was also studied. This examination was based on responses from 297 U.S. dental practices which employ computerized DIS. Results of this study show that over two-thirds of users classify their overall DIS satisfaction as either good or excellent. The satisfaction and the perceived importance of individual functions were highly correlated.
