Participants described their feelings of uncertainty about: )a anticipated initial interactions in a new culture; and b) recollections of initial interactions during their adjustment to campus life. Participants also described uncertainty reduction strategies they remembered using during their initial adjustment period and their assessment of the university's role in reducing those uncertainties.
