dc:description.abstractAn exploration of the role of the artist in a developing neighbourhood garden through the examination of the following topics: wilderness, landscape, gardens, community gardens and various artists' work in the land. Leading to the proposal for a public art project to be installed in the Dungarven Rd. garden in Jamaica Plain Massachusetts. The project involves the sinking of a well/cistern, and the implementation of a rainfall collection system to supply the garden with a reliable source of water.
