Here we present a novel approach to synthesize ZnTe/ZnSe core/shell tunable quantum dots. Characterizations such as transmission electron microscopy, wavelength dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, powder x-ray diffraction are employed to give evidence for the core/shell structure.
