Conceptual and cost models are set up to analyze the trade-offs, and numerous interviews were conducted to obtain insights from academic scholars and industry practitioners. Retail products, retailers and suppliers are categorized according to their synthesized attributes. Based on such categories, retail replenishment strategies are tested to determine which categories are more suitable for DSD or traditional strategies.
