The application of the value-added activity model for the Mark-6 LE integration project
Abstract
dc:description.abstractPowerful information and workflow management tools can minimize risks and maximize productivity for a project. However, a conventional task-based project management approach does not provide the kind of details necessary to support key decision making processes. This thesis explores a new value-centric abstract work model, the Value-Added Activity Model, and applies it to the complex electrical and mechanical integration context of the Mark-6 LE project. We expanded the existing model to include the notion of outcomes and implemented a concrete work model to support the development of the integration application.
