Initially, the current digital image engine manufacturing core competencies and respective capabilities were further defined and documented. Value chain maps were then developed for each line of business to assess Kodak's transition from analog to digital. The value chains clearly illustrate a lower reliance on consumables (including silver halide film and paper), and demonstrate an emerging capability in the digital equipment market.
