An out-of-plane sinusoidal crack was analyzed using a commercially available finite element package to extract the stress intensity factors and the J-Integral. The results were then compared with those obtained from crack face relative displacements as a post-processing step. The model has been tested on various geometries and the performance of focused and non-focused meshing algorithms are compared. The behavior of the stress intensity factors under far-field K-load for growing surface roughness in the form of a sinusoidal crack have been modelled as a cosine series.","abstract_html":"Three-dimensional mixed-mode linear elastic fracture mechanics analysis is presented using domain interaction integrals.
