Real-time collaboration for a block-based programming environment
Abstract
dc:description.abstractStarLogo Nova is an online education platform for programming and visualizing 3D simulations and games. It has a custom programming language, a compiler, and graphical user interface for shows systems implemented with the programming language. Unlike most programming languages, however, StarLogo Nova uses a block-based programming front-end. This unique front-end leads to interesting challenges when adding new features to StarLogo Nova's programming editor. For this thesis, I designed and implemented a proof of concept real-time collaboration system that supports multi-user undo/redo. The related works, design, implementation, and future work are discussed in this thesis.
