Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis discusses improvements to the teacher user interface of a tablet-computer-based classroom interaction system called Classroom Learning Partner. The new interface elements allow teachers to more easily keep track of class and individual progress through assignments, view students' work, give different assignments to different students, and quickly gauge students' understanding. Teachers in the Boston area consulted on the interface design and tested the implementation. Classroom observations and interviews with teachers indicate that the teachers found the new tools useful.
