The overall objective of this study was to provide information on the organisation, minimum cost resource requirements, and the size of farm required to obtain selected levels of income to operator labor and management. The specific objectives were to: (1) ascertain the amount of resources (land, labor, and capital) required, at minimum cost, to obtain selected levels of income to operator labor and management, (2) determine the combination of enterprises consistent with the minimum resource requirements for selected levels of income, (3) determine the effect of various land, labor, and capital prices upon the resources required for selected levels of income, and (4) determine the number of farms that the study area would support at the selected levels of income.","abstract_html":"This study was designed to provide information to farmers and researchers relative to necessary action that could possibly increase farm income and make it more equitable with the income realized from similar resources employed in non-farm uses.
