The first chapter introduces a historical overview of operating systems for mobile devices as well the motivation and objectives of the research. The second chapter introduces basic principles of the iOS and Android mobile frameworks in order to evaluate the platforms. The third chapter evaluates and compares the main features of both frameworks. The fourth chapter discusses the implementation of several applications on the iOS and Android mobile frameworks, which are used to demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of each platform.
