Abstract
dc:descriptionThe thesis describes the disign of a digitally programmable switched capacitor filter. The filter was employed as external feedback network to control a buck power cell, according to the zero/pole cancellation method. Static and dynamic characterizations of the close loop converter showed good agreement between theoretical model and experimental results. The circuit is also employed for educational purpose, because it easily highlights the different dynamic behaviors of power devices such as limit cycle, chaotic behavior and local bifurcations. The filter and the converter were simulated by both Matlab, Simulink, and SPICE. An important part of the work was the sensitivity analysis of the circuit with respect to the quantization effect of its digitally programmable coefficients and to other statistical parameters.
